Lotterywest has awarded the Busselton Jetty Environment and Conservation Association with a $50,000 grant. The funds will contribute towards conservation works and to upgrade interactive story-telling technology in the Jetty’s Interpretive Centre Museum.
Busselton Jetty chief executive Lisa Shreeve welcomed the grant and said it was important to share the Jetty’s history and demonstrate the passions and methods of residents who worked to save it.
“We can do this in an engaging way with new technology including touch screens, 3-D goggles and other audio-visual means,” she said.
“We would like to work with schools and community groups to uncover the best human stories about the Jetty, so everyone can hear these.”
