As promised, the Busselton Jetty Hosts continued with the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea on Sunday May 22 despite rain, bitter cold and wind gusts up to 34 knots.
Between the hours of 9.30 and 11.30 the Busselton Jetty offered free jetty entry for those participating in the morning tea and many donated their full entry fee to the Cancer Council.
Much needed hot cups of tea and coffee were served from the jetty entry near the Interpretive Centre and despite the tough conditions Jetty Hosts distributed Arnott’s Biscuits along the full length of the jetty structure.
Congratulations to Chris Ramm from Capel who won first prize in the raffle and walked away with a 48” television kindly donated by Busselton Retravision.
Busselton Jetty would like to extend a big thank you to all who participated in the event and kindly contributed their time, opened their wallets and donated raffle prizes.
Just under $800 was raised for the Cancer Council.
