With help from Lotterywest, Royalties for Regions and the Southwest Development Commission, the Busselton Jetty Environment and Conservation Association are upgrading the Interpretive Centre Museum.
The Busselton Jetty are calling on the community to make contributions, in the form of photo or video, and the best will be showcased.
The jetty has experienced a turbulent 150 years. “There are many historical images on file but we are looking for some new content. We need something spectacular. We need that image that tells a thousand words, the one that shows a milestone. We need your piece of the puzzle,” said Marketing Officer Toni Flanagan.
“There may be someone out there with lots of images of the jetty during its time as a port, or when the last extension was made in 1960, making it the length it is today. We want them to dig them out!”
The Busselton jetty relies on the community to make it a continuing success. If you would like to contribute please submit copies of your photos or videos to the Interpretive Centre prior to Friday 23rd September (copies received by the jetty will not be returned) labelled with your name and phone number. All enquiries can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or Michelle on 9754 0903 who is in the office on Fridays.
