Busselton Jetty Inc (BJI), the voluntary management group, have contributed over $755,000 this financial year to the City of Busselton’s Jetty Maintenance Fund.
As part of the licence agreement between the City and the volunteer group, BJI is obligated to pay 25% of its revenue to fund future Jetty maintenance to ensure sustainability of the heritage listed icon.
Since 2011, BJI has contributed over $4 million to ongoing preservation of the Jetty. The voluntary organisation represents the community with over 600 members who act as custodians of the Jetty. It’s only through the support of our members, volunteers and increasing tourist numbers that we are able to achieve this outstanding contribution.
