ScienSea – National Science Week 2018

By in Uncategorized with 0 Comments

Discover the amazing marine life that call the Jetty home and how they’re being protected at ScienSea as part of National Science Week 2018.

Busselton Jetty for Schools and City of Busselton Libraries are excited to host these free after school activities.

Amy Gornall, Busselton Jetty Communications Officer, said children could look forward to interesting and fun ocean themed science activities.

“There will be marine science themed activity stations with cool technology, samples, specimens, amazing photos and underwater footage,” Amy said.

“Participants will learn about the diverse marine life that live under the Jetty, how the Jetty and its inhabitants are being protected and preserved and what they can do to help,” she said.

Those who attend can also join in with story time, featuring the Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister and accompanying art and craft activities.

ScienSea is suitable for students in pre-primary to year 9 and will be at the Busselton Library from 3.30pm to 5pm on Tuesday 14th August and Dunsborough Library on Wednesday 15th August.
