Autumn Sunrise
In the stillness of dawn, the Autumn sun arises,
Casting its golden brushstrokes on the bay’s gentle rises.
Timber pylons of Busselton Jetty stand in silent grace, Bathed in the warm light of morning’s embrace.

Salty whispers dance in the air, a gentle reminder,
Cooler days are ahead, yet warmth in the timber remains.
Fisher folk cast their hopes into the shimmering sea,
While birdsong weaves a melody, setting spirits free.

Walkers and runners, with stories to share,
Greet the day with laughter, without a care.
Busselton Jetty, a timeless sight to behold,
A sanctuary of peace, where stories unfold.

The ocean whispers secrets to the waiting shore,
As the sun paints patterns only nature can adore.
This Autumn sunrise, a spectacle so grand,
A moment of magic, felt upon the man made land.

Come stand on the Jetty, feel the morning’s gentle glow,
Witness the beauty, let your imagination flow.
For in this fleeting moment, you’ll understand,
The wonder of an Autumn sunrise, as nature planned.

Some more of our busso dive. There's a lot of sculptures to see but I've only featured the SS Pericles replica in this because of all that fish life 😍 I'll upload some photos of some of the others later 😊 🐟🐟

🎉 Our Jetty family of staff and volunteers work hard every day to create amazing experiences for the many people that visit us. We are so proud of each and every one of them. So, when we get reviews like this, we can't help but smile!

"A 1.8 km train ride along the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere, an underwater observatory, thousands of free-roaming fish, and the country's biggest artificial reef—it's one of the best tourism/marine science experiences I've ever had, full stop. The staff and volunteers are passionate, super-helpful, and knowledgeable, and the whole experience is such an asset to Busselton and Western Australia. My family will never forget this experience."

Thank you for your kind words and for choosing Busselton Jetty for your families unforgettable Jetty Memories! 🌊💙

Let's take a trip down memory lane and celebrate the incredible community spirit that saved our beloved Busselton Jetty after Cyclone Alby that occurred 46 years ago today! 🌀✨

Did you know that after the devastating effects of Cyclone Alby in 1978, our community rallied together to ensure that the Jetty remained a symbol of culture and heritage? A group of passionate individuals formed the Busselton Jetty Environment and Conservation Association (BJECA), now BJEF, to raise funds for its restoration and maintenance.

After Cyclone Alby, thanks to the communities support, we achieved remarkable milestones: raised funds to replace 50% of the Jetty's structure, introduced our now iconic train service, built the Interpretive Centre and fought to create the breathtaking Underwater Observatory that has become the icon of our jetty inspiring our environmental goals and achievements!

The Busselton Jetty stands as a monument to the spirit and dedication of the Busselton community as without them, the Jetty wouldn’t be here today! This is still true today, as 25% of all ticket sales continue to fund the Jetty's maintenance.

As we cherish these Jetty Memories, let's keep the love for our Jetty alive and thriving! Share your favourite moments with us using the hashtag #JettyMemories. Together, we'll continue to preserve this gem for future generations! 💖
