About the Jetty Train

Sit back and relax while the train driver takes you on a 1.7 kilometre journey across the calm, clear waters of Geographe Bay. With 90 seats available and trips leaving throughout the day on the hour, the iconic red solar-powered Jetty Train is the perfect way to experience the Busselton Jetty.

‘The Stocker Preston Express’ Jetty Train is powered by renewable energy – there are 30 solar panels on it’s roof which supply enough power to charge it’s batteries for 4 days! Using solar power saves 1700L of fuel per year and supplies enough power for the Jetty to be carbon positive.

Passengers can enjoy carriages with six seats so families can sit together, accessible carriages for wheelchairs and walkers, a warm sheltered ride with secure see-through blinds and an audio tour with added commentary from our friendly train drivers.

From glimpses of dolphins frolicking to spotting local fishermen snaring their catch of the day, the Jetty Train trip promises to deliver something for everyone.

Did you know that the Jetty Train was the red train that inspired Japanese Director Hayao Miyazaki to create the film Spirited Away which has become a worldwide phenomenon!

The Jetty Train is able to transport wheelchairs, please advise our friendly bookings staff if this service is required.

Please mind your head when boarding and exiting the train.

Due to space limitations prams and pushers are unable to be stored on board. For a $10 deposit you can lock your pram to the jetty for the duration of your trip, please advise our friendly bookings staff if this service is required.
