Busselton Jetty Crew Leadership Program

General Information

Busselton Jetty is currently seeking candidates for the 2022 Busselton Jetty Crew – an exciting future leader’s program for 16 to 18 year old’s which provides formal leadership training, self-management skills, project and event management training.

The aim of the program is to endorse friendship, community involvement and a sense of purpose. The overall desired outcomes to instill passion in youth about environmental awareness and marine conservation, promoting the preservation of the 155-year-old Jetty for future generations to enjoy.

Being a part if the Jetty Crew will offer you an opportunity to experience the past, appreciate the present and be part of the future of our community. Some of the tasks you will be involved in include team outings, running meetings, managing events and educating other students. Throughout the year, members that show an outstanding level of dedication and commitment to the purpose of the program will be given the opportunity to complete an Open Water Dive Course.

Members of the Jetty Crew will receive assistance from Jetty staff members, the Board of Management, sponsors and previous Jetty Crew members, who will act as mentors providing an array of different skills and networking opportunities. This will be an excellent opportunity for those looking for extra experience in the workforce.
