Sit back and relax while the train driver takes you on a 1.7 kilometre journey across the calm, clear waters of Geographe Bay. With 90 seats available and trips leaving throughout the day on the hour, the Jetty Train is the perfect way to experience the Busselton Jetty.
After four years of planning and 18 months being built, the Busselton Jetty is excited to introduce it’s first new train in 22 years, ‘The Stocker Preston Express’. The new electric train, the first of its kind in Australia, accommodates up to 90 people and is powered by solar panels which charge the train overnight in Railway House.
New features of the train include six seats per section so bigger groups can sit together, accessible carriages for wheelchairs and walkers, more room in the carriages as the seats flip up and a warmer, more sheltered ride with secure see-through blinds.
From glimpses of dolphins frolicking to spotting local fishermen snaring their catch of the day, the Jetty Train trip promises to deliver something for everyone.
The Jetty Train is able to transport one wheelchair per trip. Prams, pushers and some walkers can be stored within the carriage compartments. Please advise our friendly bookings staff if this service is required.
