The boat shed style Interpretive Centre opened in January and the merchandise and memorabilia provide a source of income for BJECA to maintain the jetty.  Positioned as an entry and fee paying point for pedestrians and train travellers on the jetty, the Interpretive Centre was able to calculate that more than 200,000 people visited the jetty that year.
