Queen of the Bay

Artist: Scott Michell

Measuring 3m tall and weighing 1.5 tonnes is ‘The Queen of the Bay’ – a bespoke fish sculpture that has been fabricated from 100% mild steel over 6 months.

Created by Scott Michell as part of the Busselton Jetty Underwater Sculpture Park and Artificial Reef Project – this piece of art has a “HH” metal plaque dedicated to Hunter Madden and the Hero Hunter Foundation that support families battling childhood cancer!

Scott is a boilermaker/welder by trade with more than 17 years’ experience in manufacturing, construction, and mining. He now runs Rustic Hills Sculptures in Perth and more of his work can be found on Instagram @rustic_hills_sculptures
